Holophonor

Inspiration

We were inspired by the Holophonor from _ Futurama _, which is an oboe-like instrument that projects images representative of the music being played.

What it does

Holophonor takes a song (.mp3 file) as an input and outputs AI-generated art depicting the song.

How we built it

We built the front-end using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and the back-end using Flask/Python. We convert the audio into text using Dolby and generated the image using Google Gemini

Challenges we ran into

We ran into problems with API selection, as many of them either have a limited number of uses or are entirely paid. Eventually, we were able to find APIs that best suited our needs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of being able to tie audio processing and AI-generated images together and being able to convert music into AI-generated art at the press of a button.

What we learned

We learned a lot about full-stack development and integrating AI into our project.

What's next for Holophonor

Hopefully, we can integrate adding youtube links and expanding the accepted file formats beyond .mp3
