🧠 Inspiration
In today’s Web3 landscape, users juggle multiple wallets, logins, and credentials — often compromising between security, convenience, and privacy. We wanted to build something that redefines digital identity — a way to carry your identity across ecosystems without giving up ownership. That’s how HoloPass was born — a decentralized identity wallet that uses AI, QR verification, and blockchain to give users self-sovereign identity and frictionless access across dApps.
💡 What it does
HoloPass is a Web3 identity and access platform that combines decentralized credentials, AI verification, and QR-based access. It allows users to:
🔐 Create and manage a self-sovereign identity (SSI) linked to their wallet.
🤖 Use AI-based verification to authenticate users and detect spoofing or duplicate identities.
📱 Scan or generate dynamic QR passes for secure, on-chain identity validation.
🌐 Connect across multiple dApps using one secure HoloPass instead of multiple logins.
🧩 Integrate with WalletConnect and Algorand for seamless multi-chain compatibility.
🏗️ How we built it
We built HoloPass using a Next.js 15 frontend integrated with Supabase, RainbowKit, Wagmi, and Viem for Web3 authentication and wallet connections.
⚙️ Frontend Framework: Next.js + TailwindCSS + Radix UI + ShadCN components for elegant design.
🔗 Blockchain Integration: WalletConnect, RainbowKit, and Viem to handle wallet sessions and on-chain verification.
🧠 Backend & Auth: Supabase for database and session management.
📸 QR Features: React QR Scanner and QRCode libraries for creating and scanning digital passes.
🔒 Smart Identity Logic: AI and cryptographic verification (planned via Algorand smart contracts for attestations).
🚧 Challenges we ran into
Integrating multi-chain wallet abstraction while maintaining fast response times.
Handling QR-based identity verification securely across devices.
Building a consistent UI using multiple Radix components without style conflicts.
Ensuring Supabase auth and wallet sessions sync smoothly during on-chain operations.
Managing the bridge between AI verification logic and blockchain attestations.
🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a working decentralized identity prototype within the hackathon timeline.
Integrated Supabase auth + WalletConnect seamlessly for user identity management.
Designed an elegant UI/UX with Radix and Tailwind for both desktop and mobile.
Implemented QR-based access passes that can be scanned for identity validation.
Established a foundation for chain abstraction — HoloPass can scale to any L1/L2 in the future.
📚 What we learned
How account abstraction and decentralized identity standards (DID) can simplify Web3 onboarding.
How AI and cryptographic proofs can enhance identity verification beyond traditional KYC.
The importance of UI/UX in Web3 tools — usability is as crucial as decentralization.
How to combine Supabase + Web3 + QR tech to create cohesive authentication flows.
🚀 What's next for HoloPass
🔮 Integrate Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proofs for private credential sharing.
🧱 Deploy identity attestations on Algorand and expand to multi-chain interoperability.
🤝 Collaborate with dApps to use HoloPass for access control, DAO voting, and event check-ins.
📲 Build a mobile companion app for scanning and generating passes offline.
🧩 Expand into AI-based trust scoring and decentralized reputation systems for creators and users.
