The holiday season is a time for joy, connection, and celebration. We wanted to create an application that brings people closer, makes gift-giving and celebrations easier, and adds a touch of magic to the holidays. The idea came from observing how technology can simplify and enhance traditional holiday traditions, like sending cards, sharing recipes, and decorating homes.

Holiday Cheer Hub is a multi-feature app designed to bring festive magic to your fingertips.

Countdown Timer: Countdown to your favorite holidays with interactive visuals. Custom E-Cards: Create and send personalized digital holiday cards. Gift Suggestions: Get tailored gift ideas based on recipient preferences. Virtual Snow Globes: Design and share your own animated snow globe scenes. Recipe Finder: Discover festive recipes to suit every taste and dietary need. Wish-List Manager: Organize, share, and track your holiday wish lists. Charity Portal: Spread kindness by donating to selected causes.

How we built it

How We Built It Frontend: React.js was used for a sleek, responsive interface with festive animations. Backend: Node.js with Express.js powers the app’s functionality and user data processing. Database: MongoDB stores user preferences, wish lists, and e-card designs. APIs Used: OpenAI API for intelligent gift suggestions. Unsplash API for high-quality holiday images. SendGrid for e-card email delivery. Hosting: The app is deployed on Vercel for seamless performance.
