What it does

A simple but powerful app that turns any hobby into a structured income plan in seconds. No guesswork. No overwhelm. Just clear, actionable steps.

User type in a hobby, or select a hobby from an image carousel, prepopulated hobbies and then, clich Generate Income Plan.

AI run behind the scene and present you with not just generic data but, clear and actional insight on niche ideas, pricing strategy, weekly posting plan, monetization, content roadmap and first product launch strategy.

How I use MeDo to built it

With MeDo, I approached this application developemnt as a conversation-driven build process:

• I described the product idea in natural language
• Broke it into layers (UI, interactions, AI logic, output structure)
• Iteratively refined features hobby selection image carousel
• structured AI outputs (not just chat responses)
• clean, scrollable result cards
• Used multiple prompts to shape both frontend design and AI logic simultaneously

This allowed me to go from idea to working app extremely fast without switching contexts between tools.

The most impressive part MeDo helped create is the structured income generation engine. Instead of returning a generic AI response, the app produces:

Challenges I ran into

One of the main challenges was moving beyond a simple AI response into a structured, useful system. It’s easy to generate ideas, but much harder to organize them into something users can actually act on like a full roadmap, pricing strategy, and weekly plan.

In addition, I have to refine how the AI generates responses to avoid generic outputs and instead produce clear, practical, and beginner-friendly guidance.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm most proud of turning a simple concept into a real, usable product. The fact that users can go from “I like photography” to a clear monetization plan in seconds is a big win for me to be able to help.

What I learned

The real value of AI is not just generation, but how you structure and present the output Speed matters. Being able to iterate quickly helps refine ideas faster.

Overall, MeDo made the development process feel more fluid, creative, and efficient, which is especially valuable in a hackathon setting.

What's next for Hobby2Income

I want to evolve Hobby2Income into a long term companion for users. The goal is to move from “Here’s your income plan” to “Let’s help you launch a start-up business from your hobby, execute and earn from it.”
