HOAfree

HOA (homeowners association) fees are as high as the mortgage. We built a chat to lower the superintendent's workload, or replace the super completely. Potential TAM is 1/2 of all rental income.

Inspiration -- Gen Z can't afford single-family houses, only condos and coops, but the HOA fees are as high as the mortgage.

What it does -- Replace the super by calling maintenance via our agent, negotiate bulk group discounts. Each HOA can maintain its info in a simple Google Sheet or Notion file (supplied), and the info is dynamically updated in each chat session to ensure that the most up-to-date info is returned.

How we built it -- Tried using OpenAI but needed to upgrade our account. Running the .py locally currently.

Challenges we ran into -- Have credits, but still needed to upgrade account.

Accomplishments that we're proud of -- Got a working demo despite it all!

What we learned -- Always ship. Always demo.

What's next for HOAfree -- Adding voice! Calling on behalf of the users and residents.
