Inspiration
Traditional global banking systems often exclude billions of individuals from accessing robust financial growth and wealth management. Inspired by the vision to bridge this gap, HK WorldBank was conceived as a decentralized Web3 digital banking platform. Our core motivation is dual-fold: to deliver high-yield, secure digital asset services while actively driving global wealth redistribution and poverty relief through an automated universal basic income (UBI) model. Furthermore, we are deeply committed to social impact; should we win any prize money in this hackathon, 30% of it will be immediately donated to global UBI and poverty relief funds.
What it does
HK WorldBank is a next-generation Web3 banking ecosystem built to seamlessly integrate digital assets with real-world financial utility. Key features include:
- Pi Network Integration: Direct wallet connectivity and liquidity pooling tailored for the ecosystem.
- 3-Year Staking Engine: High-yield staking mechanisms providing automated compound returns (APY 31.41%).
- RevenueCat Billing & Credit Mapping: Robust in-app purchase and subscription management syncing user credits and premium tiers in real time.
- Global UBI Redistribution Fund (30% Pledge): An automated protocol that dedicates not only 30% of platform net profits but also 30% of any hackathon prize money to fund poverty relief and basic income initiatives worldwide.
How we built it
We developed HK WorldBank with a focus on modern web standards, security, and scalability:
- Frontend: Crafted using HTML5 and Tailwind CSS for a high-performance, responsive dark-mode user dashboard.
- Backend & Billing: Powered by Node.js and express webhooks to handle secure API communication and synchronization with RevenueCat SDK transaction events.
- Architecture: Structured with clean separation of concerns, ensuring fault-tolerant webhook event listeners and smooth user session management.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating decentralized Web3 wallet transactions with traditional subscription-based billing models like RevenueCat presented unique challenges regarding asynchronous state synchronization. Ensuring strict data consistency without duplicating code structures or tripping up document configurations required rigorous iterative testing and clean modular design.
What's next for HK WorldBank
Following the RevenueCat Shipaton 2026, we plan to scale our sandbox environments into a full production-grade global rollout, expand our UBI funding pool to support impoverished regions, and forge deeper integration loops within the broader decentralized economy.
