Inspiration

I launched this project after a frustrating experience where a client stiffed me on payment for a freelance gig. That letdown sparked the idea for Hivly. My mission? To create a system where freelancers get paid fairly for their hard work without having to pay high fees to centralized platforms , which take a 10-20% cut over the agreement. Hivly is all about creating a fair and seamless system for collaboration

What it does

Hivly is a system that helps platforms and communities manage hiring and payments without middlemen. It uses Smart Agreements, which are self-executing contracts, and a decentralized method for resolving disputes. We have our own freelancing marketplace to demonstrate how it works. We also help businesses add smart agreement features to their websites, making it easy to handle secure, automated agreements. Our technology is designed to be user-friendly, with social login and FIAT currency payments. Even though it runs on a public blockchain, the blockchain part is hidden from users, so it feels like a regular web experience.

How we built it

Here’s a look at the tech behind our product:

Smart Contracts: Deployed on Polygon Mainnet and zkEVM Cardona. We are expanding our protocol by adding new types of agreements.
Backend Layer: Built with Node.js and MongoDB. We use routes and connectors to catch events from the blockchain and update the database based on user requests.
Frontend Layer: Built with React, JSX, and Tailwind CSS. We use various SDKs to enable a smooth web experience, like Particle Network for account abstraction and Moonpay for buying/selling crypto.

What's next for Hivly

We are focused on building a strong community on Discord where users can share feedback, get support, and collaborate. Additionally, we are working on developing new types of contracts to expand our protocol's capabilities. We aim to integrate APIs using Chainlink oracles to enhance functionality and reliability.

We also plan to:

Improve User Experience: Continuously refine our interface to make it even more user-friendly and accessible, ensuring that people can easily manage their contracts and payments.

Security Enhancements: Regularly update our security protocols to protect user data and transactions, maintaining trust and reliability.
Global Reach: Extend our services to more countries, adapting to different legal and financial systems to ensure seamless operation worldwide.
