Inspiration

We were inspired to create TrigQuest for a multitude of reasons, but the main reason was because we have a shared passion for math education as STEM majors.

What it does

TrigQuest is an intuitive online platform that helps make math more fun, in hopes that more students will develop a passion for the subject.

How we built it

The base front-end framework was established with the help of AI, but most of the back-end work, such as the mini games, were primarily done by us.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges that we ran into was learning how to make quick decisions as a group, since for many of us it was was our first hackathon experience. Additionally, we didn't have a vast amount of language knowledge at the start, so we had to do a lot of learning along the way.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have a working base product with lots of potential for future growth after only 24 hours of development. We are also proud that each member of our team was willing to step out of their comfort zones to get the job done.

What we learned

On the surface level, we learned more about new programming languages and techniques, but looking deeper, I think we learned how to work together as a team to utilize each other's strengths toward the end goal of finishing our project.

What's next for TrigQuest

TrigQuest can easily be expanded to MathQuest, a platform of similar structure that isn't limited to just trig. For example, MathQuest can include concepts from other essential math classes, from college algebra to calculus.
