Inspiration

Due to the boredom of being in quarantine, many people began neglecting healthy habits and often need something to remind to take care of themselves. Many people got lazy and dropped their formerly healthy habits such as regular exercise and healthy eating habits. We had hoped to create a website that, aside from being able to assist with work habits and regulating schedules, would also help people find a way to stay healthy and fit during remote working periods.

What it does

It assists remote working by building up plans and schedules, and has many hidden achievements and daily checklist goals that aims to help improve everyday life in a healthy manner.

How we built it

We talked over some of the functions we wanted the website to have, picked a colour palette and designed an interface.

Challenges we ran into

None of us knew HTML and had nearly no knowledge of where to begin when it came to building websites. Most of our experiences and areas of knowledge lies in coding software applications, we had no idea how to turn a design into a functioning website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Working in a team effectively and how to use figma.

What we learned

It probably would have being easier to get a working product if we went with HTML in the first place. Figma was easy to start with design wise, however, implementing functions proved to be impossible as it was not designed to assist with web development and is almost strictly limited to interface design.

What's next for Hive Network by hidden input

If given more time, it would have been good if we were able to actually have a functioning website with the checklist and achievements all linked up to a database along with user information. This would allow for further implementation of user communication and perhaps even work submissions.
