Inspiration

Creating the best idea can be a little difficult when your opponents are great. So I thought of building the most useless idea that no genius can think of. So I started thinking of it. The most useless thing I believe since my childhood is Ghost. So I thought of building a Ghost-related app. But then, what should I build? I thought and came up with 3 different ideas- 1- Dating app for Ghosts 2- Cab service for Ghosts 3- Online Ghost booking for humans to let them roam in your house and create a scary atmosphere by paying a nominal charge. So I decided to move with the 3rd one as it can be the limit of stupidity, and named it "Ghostinder".

What it does

Ghostinder allow humans to book a Ghost online to roam in their house, scare people they want, or have a companion, or want to be scared, by paying a nominal charge for one night. They can see the ghost profile and select according to their need. It's like a LinkedIn for Ghosts.

How we built it

We used Bolt.new to build this platform, all through vibe coding. Bolt allows you to add backend, databases, frontend and payments all in just one command. We added multiple functionalities for users to see their previous bookings, current bookings, ghost profile page, and many more. We used Supabase as a backend and added a payment method for an unstoppable service.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered many challenges while creating the platform. Finding potential ghosts, asking God to send them to Earth, teaching Ghosts how to use the internet, and the transport problem from heaven/hell to Earth were the biggest. Many small problems also occur, like less awareness among the Ghost community about the platform, a lack of trust in humans, etc.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

While building Ghostinder, we achieved many things and solved many problems. We create employment among Ghosts who do not have any unfulfilled wishes or any revenge to take. Those spirits are very happy now and are living a good dead life. They now have a purpose for their death. Their soul are busier than their bodies are. Because of us, most of the ghosts can now proudly say that yes, we are ghosts and we scare people.

What we learned

We learned through this project that souls also have financial problems and want to have a source of income. They also want to be proud of scaring humans and use them for entertainment.

What's next for Ghostinder

So, after winning the Bolt contest in the 'most uselss shit' cateogry, Ghostinder will be available to common people who have unwanted money and want to burn it in new ways. We will expand our services to other planets as well, and are soon planning to launch in the Andromeda galaxy. We are getting very high demand for this idea.
