Hitech (The Unacceptable Team-59)
💡 Inspiration
COVID has hit us hard. Everyone is severely affected by this pandemic. The student community is the one who has been affected the most, both socially and emotionally. We all know how it is tough to study things in online mode. This results in the loss of students' interests in studies, and they are losing the sense of belonging to the school. So we, as developers, decided to make the lives easier for students and came up with the idea of building a web app that makes their learning more accessible and provides a community where the students can interact with each other and have some fun while learning.
💻 What it does
Hitech help students visualize different curriculum topics, which are challenging to learn or visualize while having much fun, making it easy for students to learn and gain practical knowledge of its working. It is also a platform where students can discuss different topics in the chat room.
⚙️ How we built it
- React Js: For frontend
- Coil: For web monetization
- Firebase: For user authentication
- Firestore: For Database
- Three.js: For 3D rendering and animation
💲 Best Web Monetization Project
We also use Coil to create micropayments for the user you wish, to support them and hence motivate them to keep helping the community. The coil is a free, open-source, and open-source-compliant web monetization platform that allows you to monetize your website for a small fee.
⛅ Use of Google Cloud
We are using Firebase for database and authentication. Cloud Firestore is a flexible, scalable real-time, high-performance database for mobile, web, and server development from Firebase and Google Cloud. Firebase is a free service and easy to use.

🧠 Challenges we ran into
- Finding public 3D models was difficult. So had to explore different platforms.
- 3D models are heavy so, we have to do the trade-off between performance and quality.
- Coping up with time different zone.
- One of the most important things: How to work as a team. How to listen to others' ideas and add your inputs to them. Making some trade-off between the number of features and quality of features.
- Monetization
🏅 Accomplishments that we're proud of
- As it was the first time working with Coil, we were able to build a web monetization feature.
- Able to complete the project within the timeline was really challenging.
- We are proud that we were able to work together as a team to accomplish this goal together.
- Made something that will help the student community to learn better.
- We have a lot of fun and challenges that we faced.
- We are also proud of the UI we made
