Inspiration

As a kid reading historical fiction from authors like Mary Renault, I wondered if people from long ago really thought like us. Plowing through what people wrote and what was written about them may be necessary but maybe there is a better way to make a first pass and find out how to direct your research.

What it does

This app tells you some hopefully useful and entertaining trivia about someone in the past. It provides some ideas about how their thoughts related to our current accepted thought. For example, how did they think about religion? What science were they exposed to?

How we built it

This app is built with the partyrock ai.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge is that partyrock answers are not instantaneous. I could make the app more complex and the risk of making it too slow to be entertaining.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I find it entertaining to use. I dont expect it to be correct all the time. It is however thought provoking

What we learned

Automatic portraits from the ai were always bad but often amusing.

What's next for Historical-Person-Profile

In the future, we ma look into more about foods and recipes. In the past, there were sandwiches.
