Inspiration
My inspiration for Historia was my 11th grade English textbook that had a story of how Albert Einstein dropped out of his school. It was written in a way that made Einstein seem like a fictional character and was much more interesting to read than regular history textbooks.
What it does
When you want to learn more about a historical figure, you enter their name into the "Historical Figure" box, it generates a story-like description of their lives into the "Story" widget that makes it more fun and easy for people to learn history. The "Image" widget generates a picture of the historical figure
How we built it
I built this app by injecting a prompt into PartyRock Generative AI with specifications on how I wanted to build the app.
Challenges we ran into
I have never used PartyRock AI before but it was fun experimenting with a new platform
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud of how much I learnt about generative AI and PartyRock and how AI can make prompt-based applications. This is the first hackathon I can participate in after months and I hope I can participate in more hacakthons
What we learned
I learned a lot about generative AI
What's next for Historia
I hope to make a larger-scale version of Historia for children to be able to enjoy learning about history.
