Inspiration
HistARy was inspired by the challenge of making historical education more immersive and engaging, especially for younger audiences. Traditional history books, while informative, often fail to captivate or stimulate deeper curiosity. Our aim with HistARy is to bridge the gap between static reading and interactive learning using the latest augmented reality (AR) technology.

What it does
HistARy is a state-of-the-art AR platform that turns each page of a history book into a portal to the past. By scanning a photo from a book, users are instantly transported back in time to see and interact with 3D representations of historical periods. This dynamic method allows users to visualize the era, enhancing understanding and retention. After each chapter, users can engage in trivia games that test their knowledge and help solidify the information learned.
How we built it
HistARy was crafted using advanced AR technology, 3D modeling, and image recognition algorithms. Our interdisciplinary team, comprising developers, historians, and graphic designers, worked together to ensure the app was not only technologically robust but also historically accurate and visually engaging. Designed for both iOS and Android, HistARy aims to reach a wide audience, enhancing historical education through innovative tech.
