Inspiration

Our inspiration was to build something completely new that none of us had tried before, guided by the idea of making the professional world more inclusive and accessible to everyone.

What it does

Hiring Manager Pro gamifies hiring manager training by simulating real hiring decisions and helping users recognize and reduce bias in the professional workplace. By turning training into an interactive experience, it makes learning more engaging, user-friendly, and effective.

How we built it

We built Hiring Manager Pro using C# and the Unity game engine, combining game mechanics, UI systems, and evaluation logic to simulate hiring scenarios and team outcomes.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was learning Unity from scratch, every small feature required extensive troubleshooting, research, and experimentation, often taking far longer than expected.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re incredibly proud of how far we came, going from zero game development experience to a working prototype

What we learned

We learned a million different things about game dev that will be used in the next project and that learning something new just needs to be started.

What's next for Hiring Manager Pro

Next, we want to expand the simulation with smarter AI systems, deeper analytics, and more realistic hiring scenarios to continue improving fairness while making training even more engaging.
