Inspiration

The inspiration behind Hirexa was to develop a cutting-edge hiring tool that can evaluate candidates beyond their resumes and applications. We wanted to create a solution that could analyze a candidate's voice and video and provide feedback to recruiters and hiring managers. By leveraging the power of advanced technology, we aimed to help organizations make better hiring decisions, reduce bias, and save time in the recruitment process.

What it does

Hirexa offers an innovative approach to assessing soft skills during the hiring process. It involves recording a candidate's responses to questions or scenarios designed to evaluate soft skills, and then analyzing the video recording using a rating scale that assesses specific behaviors and communication styles associated with the soft skills being evaluated. Our approach provides a more objective and comprehensive view of the candidate's behavior and communication style, allowing for a more accurate assessment of their potential for success in the workplace. Additionally, our video analysis method can be conducted remotely, providing greater flexibility in the hiring process.

How we built it

To build Hirexa, we used various technologies such as natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms. We trained the model using a large dataset of video interviews and audio recordings of candidates from various industries. We used Python programming language and libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, OpenCV, and NLTK to develop the application. We also deployed the tool on a cloud platform to ensure scalability and accessibility.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was the availability and quality of the data for training the model. We had to collect a vast amount of video and audio data to ensure that the model could learn from a diverse set of candidates. Another challenge was optimizing the performance of the model, given the large volume of data it had to analyze. We also had to ensure that the tool complied with ethical and legal considerations related to data privacy and bias.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the accuracy and reliability of Hirexa in evaluating candidates' voice and video. The tool can provide an objective and unbiased assessment of candidates, helping organizations make better hiring decisions. We're also proud of the user-friendly dashboard that provides recruiters with actionable insights and feedback on candidates' performance. Our team was able to develop and deploy the tool within a short time frame, which is a testament to our agility and technical expertise. And we have done all this within 36 hour, this is really a big achievement for us.

What we learned

Developing Hirexa taught us a lot about the importance of data quality and quantity when training machine learning models. We also learned the challenges of deploying AI-powered applications, such as ensuring compliance with ethical and legal considerations. Finally, we learned about the importance of collaboration and communication among team members to ensure that the project is delivered on time and meets the requirements of stakeholders. Above all that we learned to use all the technologies that we worked on.

What's next for Hirexa

In the future, we plan to add more features to Hirexa, such as real-time candidate evaluation and sentiment analysis. We also plan to integrate the tool with other HR software to provide a seamless hiring experience for recruiters and candidates. We will continue to refine and improve the accuracy of the model, ensuring that it remains up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI technology. Ultimately, our goal is to make Hirexa a trusted and reliable hiring tool that can benefit organizations of all sizes and industries.
