Inspiration

Landing a job today is about much more than having a good resume. Many students struggle with interview preparation, personalized feedback, and understanding the skills employers expect. Existing platforms often provide generic practice questions but fail to simulate realistic interviews or offer actionable insights. We wanted to build an AI-powered interview coach that acts like a personal mentor, helping users improve their confidence, communication, and technical performance.

What it does

HirePilot is an AI-powered interview preparation platform that helps job seekers practice smarter.

Users can:

🎤 Participate in AI-generated mock interviews tailored to specific roles. 📝 Receive instant feedback on technical answers, communication, and confidence. 📄 Upload resumes to receive role-specific interview questions. 📊 Track interview performance with detailed analytics. 💡 Get personalized learning recommendations based on strengths and weaknesses. 🤖 Chat with an AI career assistant for resume, interview, and career guidance.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Some of the biggest challenges included:

Designing interview questions that adapt to different experience levels. Providing meaningful AI feedback instead of generic responses. Parsing resumes accurately across multiple formats. Maintaining low response latency for a conversational interview experience. Creating an intuitive dashboard that clearly visualizes user performance.
