Inspiration

With the rise of short form content and reduced attention spans, it can feel overwhelming to analyze large job descriptions. We wanted to make something that also follows the short form formula and gives bite sized pieces of information to the user so they can easy digest it and make a decision. We took inspiration from the Tinder dating app and wanted to create a job swiping app.

What it does

With Hirely, users can swipe on job offers and employers can swipe on job seekers. If both the job seeker and employer swipe on the interested side then it creates a match which can be seen by both the employer and the job seeker. In addition to this, we created a career chatbot that is present to aid the user with any queries they have about career related queries such as interviews, resume reviews and job requirement clarifications.

How we built it

We built it using React, NodeJS, ExpressJS and MongoDB, Open AI API and Vercel.

Challenges we ran into

We lost quite some time with version control and making sure that everyone had the same dependencies and versions installed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We all learned and adapted to new technologies and were quite efficient working as a team and diving up the tasks.
