Inspiration

Started when Izaaz struggling to have and find a job as a fresh graduate and ar-Raqmi ask him to join his team in agentic AI hackaton and he agree to join

What it does

Hireflow autonomously searches for jobs, matches them to your résumé and preferences, researches companies, and prepares tailored CVs and cover letters. It also remembers previously seen jobs and highlights new opportunities, while keeping the final application decision in the user's hands.

How we built it

We built Hireflow as a multi-agent AI job-search system using Gemini 3.5 Flash on Vertex AI and Google ADK. A FastAPI backend on Cloud Run powers a React/Vite frontend on Vercel.

The agents handle résumé parsing, job searching, matching, career-page discovery, company research, and tailored application preparation. We combine multiple job sources with Gemini-powered query expansion and scoring, while filtering jobs first to reduce unnecessary AI calls.

The pipeline runs through SSE in real time, with the browser storing preferences and job history. Hireflow works autonomously until the final step, where the human stays in control and approves the application.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was reliably fetching jobs from different job boards, since many use anti-bot protection, dynamic pages, or inconsistent formats. We had to build fallbacks and a web-fetching layer that could handle these differences while keeping the agent reliable.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that we built a web-fetching system capable of discovering and extracting jobs directly from job boards without Cloudflare anti-bot protection, expanding Hireflow beyond traditional job APIs.

What we learned

We learned building agentic workflow system with Google ADK, orchestrate autonomous agents and use Gemini's vision capabilities for it. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud because of free $150 credits from this Hackaton.

What's next for Hireflow

Additional with 3rd party platform and plugins, it is way possible to enable one-click applications, automated follow-up emails, and interview scheduling.
