Inspiration

In the current landscape of recruitment tools, many AI-driven platforms are effective at automating processes but lack a personalized, human-centred approach to understanding candidates’ unique skills, values, and potential fit within a company's culture. Existing tools often focus heavily on keyword matching, technical assessments, or general psychometric tests, overlooking in-depth insights into a candidate’s behaviour, adaptability, ethical judgment, and problem-solving approach.

What it does

Unlike traditional tools, HireAI leverages AI interactions to assess how candidates think, not just what they know. This allows recruiters to get a holistic view of each candidate’s potential, focusing on qualities like adaptability, communication style, ethical decision-making, and critical thinking. By going beyond simple scoring, we aim to provide recruiters with insights that are tailored, meaningful, and actionable, helping them make well-informed hiring decisions that benefit both the company and the candidate.

How we built it

We built using Typescript, React, Javascript, express.js, Auth0 and Streamlit

Challenges we ran into

We were new to the technologies used, hence we learnt on the go. Additionally, unforeseen circumstances, such as teammates falling ill, added pressure on the remaining members to cover extra tasks and keep the project on track. Despite these setbacks, our team pulled together and adapted to the changing situation.

A fully functional website, integrated with OpenAI, has authorised checks and graphs

What we learned

New coding languages learnt as well as learning to use OpenAI LM to create questions and feedback that feel genuinely engaging and relevant to the user.

What's next for Hire AI

The next steps for HireAI include expanding the range of assessment modules for different job positions such as software engineer, finance etc. We aim to add multi-language support to make HireAI accessible to a global audience.
