Inspirations
As a 15-year old dealing with rampant drug issues and a volatile home life, Andrew suffered from severe depression and suicidal ideation. He made the decision that he needed to see someone. In the process, he quickly became discouraged as his parents became over-involved leading to dishonesty, a broken trust loop and ultimately, dropping out from therapy. This highlighted immense problems in therapy, tracking and measure outcomes, parents lack of understanding of progress leading to over-involvement, which affects the therapist / parent / child relationship breaking a trust loop is broken between therapist and child leading to lack of honesty and higher drop out rates.
