What it does
The product is capable of analyzing a recipe given in json format / directly downloaded through chefkoch.de API, extracting the ingredients and analyzing them with a given dataset on egological cost.
How I built it
We used Flask as a Framework since all teammembers are familiar with python. For the frontend we used HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery.
Challenges I ran into
Finding an api to fetch recipes from was pretty hard and so we decided to skip this part for now and hard code 5 recipes by hand.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Reversengineered chefkoch.de API (big german recipe website).
What I learned
Sleep is a wonderful thing.
