Inspiration
Highway accidents often lead to delays in emergency response, costing lives. We wanted to create a system that ensures faster medical assistance by integrating real-time detection and alerts.
What it does
The system detects highway collisions, monitors patient health in ambulances, and sends real-time alerts to nearby hospitals. It also provides live updates on patient conditions through a dashboard.
How we built it
We used React for the frontend and FastAPI for the backend, integrating a phone and message alert system. The dashboard displays live patient health details and accident detection data.
What we learned
We gained insights into real-time data processing, sensor integration, and emergency communication systems. Additionally, we improved our skills in optimizing FastAPI-React interactions for seamless performance.
What's next for Highway Life Saver!
We plan to enhance the AI model for better accident detection accuracy and integrate additional biometric sensors. Future updates will include ambulance traffic management and direct hospital bed availability tracking.
