Inspiration
My inspiration are the count MMORPGs I've played over the last 30 years starting with my very first game, Tibia.
What it does
High Noon RPG is an open world Sandbox RPG with minigames like Spin-the-Bottle, Quickdraw, ore mining, open PVP, and a bounty board.
How we built it
This was build using Blender, Horizon Worlds, and TypeScript.
Challenges we ran into
Most of the challenges developing this game are still to come, like balance, and bug fixes. This game does have a lot of moving parts and different player states that were a challenge to handle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I believe the game looks great and runs well in the Horizon platform. I'm happy to have achieved all of the various mechanics in one game. Puts us one step closer to an actual MMO in Worlds.
What we learned
Too many to list here. Every game we develop is a learning process that makes us better.
What's next for High Noon RPG
Fishing, bank heist, and pickaxe progression.
