Our team was inspired to create a device that could solve the issue of dramatic spikes in temperature caused by high volumes of people occupied in a room/space.

What it does

We created a machine that would collect a tally of the people entering a building or room and adjust the temperature accordingly.

How we built it

We built it using an Orion microprocessor, a joystick sensor, and 3D printed sculpture parts.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges designing and printing the complex structure of the mascot sculpture.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're very proud of the progress we made leaning how to program the Orion microprocessor.

What's next for High-Five...Low-Waste

I would like devices based of the High-Five...Low-Waste to start being implemented in public and high volume places.
