Inspiration
In windsor there has been a recent tornado that came really close to my house and just seeing it had me thinking about people who weren't in there homes while it happened what would they do
What it does
It looks at the closest buildings to you and if they are good enough to hide in or you should opet for better building . It does so by identifying age and size of each building (tho these data aren't perfectly accurate they are estimated based on public records) and after so it does the navigation kinda like google maps . A big part of it is the my profile page as there is uses personal info like heigh weight and moblit options to give you the best path for example if you are a person in a wheelchair the AI will avoid building without ramps and those same info will be sent to the police and resuce in the sos page as that pages just sends Morse code to the nearest lines

Challenges we ran into
The coordinats redirecting to Europe for an unknown reason The tornado's path being redirected to France for unknown reason The speed measure became really inaccurate once the age crosses 100
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works and it runs with no bugs
What we learned
Using librarys in Javascript is a pain
What's next for Hidefromthevortex
More accurate data and using accurate libraries instead of hand writing the data fron the librarys
