Inspiration

Targeted application of GenAI that could automate a more tedious task that a lot of companies spend a lot of time doing.

What it does

1. Recruiter creates account
2. Recruiter adds job descriptions and candidates who applies elsewhere through CSV or manual entry
3. AI agent will automatically call the candidates and conduct a short behavioral-focused phone interview
4. Recruiter sees how good a fit each candidate is with a short summary

Challenges we ran into

We ran into issues with the server deployment on AWS EC2 due to the HOYAHacks wifi network configurations around SSH and virtual machines. We also ran into a lot of trouble creating the actual AI agent and making it work so it sounds natural. Latency is a big issue and another issue is throwing together a lot of different packages and APIs in a short amount of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Website looks nice and is well built. The calling works.

What we learned

• Importance of long focused deep work sessions
• Importance of having good knowledge and previous experience with the tools and libraries you are using
