Inspiration

I wanted to create a funny but sincere mockumentary that shows what famous ghosts and monsters would say if they finally had a chance to speak for themselves.

What it does

Hi, I’m a Ghost is a light-hearted documentary-style film where vampires, mummies, zombies, Slender Man, Sadako, and other creatures talk about their daily struggles, modern life, and how humans misunderstand them.

How we built it

We used AI-generated footage, CCTV-style shots, phone-camera angles, scripted interviews, and a consistent documentary tone. Each ghost has its own personality, lines, and visual style created with AI video tools.

Challenges we ran into

Keeping all ghosts visually consistent, balancing humor with realism, making AI footage look like real documentary clips, and writing short but memorable character lines.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created unique personalities for multiple global ghosts, built a believable mockumentary world, and produced high-quality AI shots that look like real interviews, surveillance footage, and news clips.

What we learned

AI storytelling works best when characters feel human. Mixing humor with documentary structure makes the world feel real. Small details—noise, shaky cam, awkward pauses—add authenticity.

What's next for The Project

More ghosts, more interviews, global folklore characters, and expanded episodes exploring their jobs, fears, and feelings about the modern world.
