Inspiration
There is this YouTuber that has a robot avatar to play themselves, and we thought it was super cute.
What it does
It can be controlled to walk and give high fives
How we built it
We utilized ESP32s, with a motor driver for the servos.
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out how the camera works, along with finding a way to properly step down our voltage
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The chassis design! We thought it turned out cool. Also the hand high five mechanism!
What we learned
We learned how to interface with a camera, and connect it to the ESP32. Also we learned about using a buzzer and LEDs on a PCA9685
What's next for Hi-5
Reworking to be more light weight and compact
