Inspiration

hey reminder was inspired by a common problem—forgetting small but important things in daily life. Many reminder apps feel overwhelming, so I wanted to build something calm, simple, and friendly that reduces mental load instead of adding to it.

What it does

HeyReminder lets users quickly create reminders, schedule notifications, and manage daily tasks with a simple, soothing interface.

How we built it

The app was built using React Native for mobile development, wit Push notifications used to deliver reminders reliably.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing and managing notification behavior across different app states was the main challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a clean, functional reminder app with real monetization and a user-friendly design within a limited timeframe.

What we learned

This project helped us learn how to design a focused MVP, implement in-app subscriptions, and balance simplicity with functionality.
