Inspiration

Traditional placement training methods in Indian institutions are often generic and given at the last minute. They fail to cater to individual learning needs, leading to suboptimal skill development and low job placement rates.

The education and job placement industry is witnessing significant changes driven by technological advancements and evolving employer expectations. Employers seek candidates with well-rounded skill sets encompassing critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and domain-specific knowledge. Educational institutions and job placement agencies are keen on adopting innovative solutions to bridge the skill gap and enhance student employability.

What it does

Our solution is an application - HeyPrep that assists college students in preparing for job placements and interviews. The main idea is to offer a thorough, automated aptitude training program that covers technical and reasoning subjects.

We have used generative AI techniques to generate personalized practice questions, feedback, gamified user experience and learning materials. The application will track students' progress and provide recommendations for further study. Currently, individuals can register and start their training on our application.

How we built it

The application has been built for web, using MERN stack for development. OpenAI's API has been used to dynamically generate content for study material, flashcards and quizzes based on user's learning level.

Challenges we ran into

We are students who are new to application development. Our greatest challenge was lack of skills. We dedicated time and effort into learning and building an application to help thousands of fellow students in their pursuit of their dream jobs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning and mastering full-stack development.

What we learned

Multiple programming languages and frameworks.
