Inspiration was from recommendation services provided by portals like amazon that shows user exactly what he wants
What it does
Hey News is personal news assistant that provides tailored and personalised news for the user based on the users interest which is mined from the users facebook account
How we built it
It was built using xamarin for mobile app and php for back end
Challenges we ran into
It was quite a challenge to get users data from facebook and to make sense of that data for better recommendation
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The Algorithm that filters out users interest.

Learned a lot about classifying and maping a interest onto the category of a news
