Inspiration

How can customers progress in their sustainable grade if they're not even sure what their momentary impact is? Meanwhile, your company also needs to understand their preferences for various reasons, like product development, budget, or marketing. That's why we created Mecocheck.

What it does

Visualize the customer's sustainable footprint when they shop and travel. By integrating it in a playful way and, in the next step, making interactive suggestions for better choices, nudging them towards more sustainability.

A real-time AI-driven report that evaluates a customer's sustainability choices, highlighting both positive and negative behaviors. Our prototype can be seamlessly integrated into the Migros app as well as others, such as Hotelplan.

How we built it

We started brainstorming, which led to the creation of a Miro board where we further elaborated our idea. In the meantime, the provided data was analyzed, and the first challenge was data preparation, including data reconstruction and experiments. Always aware of focusing on the customer and the business.

Challenges we ran into

Data preparation was one of them with the biggest impact, as there was not enough erroneous and insufficient data.

The combined team effort and how we developed over 1000 lines of code, with an incredible amount of energy drinks.

The continuous processing of data across multiple systems and data pipelines.

What's next for Mecocheck

Develop AI further for sustainable alternative product suggestions, and add a share button for organic marketing.
