INSPIRATION: We were inspired by the iconic AI assistant from the Iron Man movies: J.A.R.V.I.S. (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System). Tony Stark’s AI wasn’t just cool — it was helpful, intuitive, and fun. We thought, what if kids and curious learners could interact with their own version of JARVIS to learn, create, and explore? That idea sparked this project. By blending education, creativity, and technology, we aimed to make learning feel more like an adventure.

WHAT IT DOES: HEY J.A.R.V.I.S. is a friendly AI assistant built to help users—especially kids—explore ideas, ask questions, and get support in a fun, inspiring way. Users can:

TECH STACKED USED: We used a mix of tools to bring JARVIS to life: Python Flask – to build the backend and handle chat requests Gemini API (Google Generative AI) – for generating natural and helpful responses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript – to design the web interface Figma – to design the interface mockups and plan user flow

We also wrote a custom system prompt to make the AI act more like a friendly, helpful assistant for kids—simple, patient, and fun.

CHALLENGES WE RAN INTO: Limited time – We had a lot of ideas for features, but time wasn’t on our side. We had to prioritize what we could build first and what could wait.

Limited API usage – The Gemini API has restrictions like token limits and rate limits, so we had to be careful with how we handled responses and made requests.

Voice configuration – Getting the text-to-speech to sound right and use a natural voice (especially a male voice like JARVIS) took some trial and error.

WHY WE BUILD THIS: We want kids to feel like they’re learning with their own AI sidekick—just like Tony Stark—and most importantly, we want them to feel inspired to explore, create, and stay curious.
