Inspiration
During the tough times in which we are living now, small local business have suffered a lot financially. We are working in the direction of ensuring they can withstand the tough times by planning things in the future.
What it does
We built an inventory management and prediction system that predicts the lifetime of certain products based on their sales. This way, the business will know how early they should make an order from their supplier.
How we built it
We used Machine Learning algorithms to predict the products going out of stock based on their sales and other historical data.
Challenges we ran into
The data ingestion to our tool and the availability of open source data is a challenge with limited data available. However, we can make the tool prediction algorithm to learn continuously in future with more data.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating such a system in the limited time that we have.
