Inspiration

Women, around the world face barriers to adequate healthcare, particularly in underserved areas. According to WHO, one in three woman lacks access to essential health services. The project is built with a vision to close this gap using Tech and AI.

What it does

It is a health platform focused on Women to support their unique health needs. It uses AI to checks for trends in women's health and help them get insights on potential health concerns. It also includes a symptom checker and an AI-based health assistant to answer common health questions and guide users on when to seek medical care. Also it allows users to store and manage health data securely, ensuring privacy while enabling easy access to important health information.

How I built it

Research - Before proceeding with the project research is done on what are the areas in health where women lack support. Feature Selection - After careful consideration, features such as quick and easy way to check any disease linked with the symtoms and an assistant that tracks and detect trends on the health data were prioritized.

Challenges I ran into

Ease of Use - Keeping the applicaiton intuitive and easy to use for new users was a priority. AI Bias - The LLM could return some irrelevant data. We solved it by fine tuning the model on around 5000 examples and detailed prompting.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

  • By fine-tuning data we were able to achieve a higher accuracy rate.
  • The platform's user friendly design which makes it accessible to all women around the globe.

What I learned

I learned a lot about the nuances of women health and the issues they are facing.

What's next for HerSupport AI - Comprehensive Health Resource Platform

In future, I will add features for advanced screening such as detecting cancers using MRI images or osteoperosis using X-Ray. The platform can also include a peer community support to discuss health and provide support. In order to make it an all in one health platform we can also include video call feature to doctors who are willing to volunteer to provide free consultation to women in under developed countries.
