Inspiration

I have always been interested in women's rights. I heard the news about the hijab removal moment and still many women in other countries need protection from their government or their culture. So, I decided to make a website to spread the importance of women's rights and its history of it.

What it does

This website shows the timeline of the women's rights movement and tells the reasons why women's rights are important.

How we built it

I used HTML and CSS to design the website

Challenges we ran into

I was not familiar with HTML and CSS. So, it was hard to adjust images and put video backgrounds.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The accomplishment I am proud of is the timeline that I made to introduce the history of the women's rights movement because it was the first time of building a timeline using HTML and CSS and I like the outcome. Another accomplishment that I am proud of is the video background. It was the first time using a video as a background and it works really well.

What we learned

While I am working on this project I learned more about HTML and CSS and learned more about women's rights and its history.

What's next for HerStory

I share my websites with my friends and post on social media to support women's rights and spread the importance of it and improve HerStory after studying more about HTML and CSS. If I can improve the website, I will add a posting section where the users can post their ideas or participation of the movement so women can build more strong connections with each other.
