HerStory - not just history

Inspiration

We wish to inspire other girls to pursue careers in technology, and to bridge the imbalance of gender representation in STEM fields.

What it does

Allows the user to interview the women and ask questions about their lives and work to hopefully inspire the user.

How we built it

It was our first time, but somehow we were able to complete the project through Unity.

Challenges we ran into

no experience in using unity or C#
had a lot of technical issues with hardware (oculus rift)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made our first VR project! We made our first Hack the North!

What we learned

How to use Unity to create some awesome projects. The importance of the development process, and the importance of having powerful computers to run graphics! :/

Add a voiceOver Chatbot, add more women in tech.

I set up the Oculus Rift, imported assets from the assets store, created the virtual environment and its interactions with the user on Unity. It was my first time using Unity but I think we were able to achieve most of our objectives for the VR environment.

I helped with setting up the Oculus Lens, coding the C# scripts, and importing assets from the assets store.

I worked on making the scripts for the characters and coded some of the unity scripts !
