HerSpace was inspired by a simple problem we have seen in our own lives: sometimes we have questions about health, safety, or other sensitive topics but feel uncomfortable asking the people around us. We wanted to create a safe place where women and girls can learn without feeling judged. HerSpace is a privacy-first educational website where users can explore different topics through videos, simple explanations, translations, and sign-language support, as well as join discussions and connect with others. We built it using Genspark AI and worked together to plan, design, and improve the website. One of our biggest challenges was fitting many features into one simple platform within the hackathon time. Through this project, we learned about accessibility, teamwork, and how to turn a real-life problem into a practical solution. In the future, we hope to add more reliable resources, verified experts, and better accessibility and privacy features.
