Inspiration

We got inspired from the intolerable events that women are facing in the society hence decided to build a web app to make change and solve a huge problem.

What it does ?

A responsive site developed for women and girls out there. This is the portal where you can make inquiry or report. To make the report all you have to do is log in and file a complaint of any category and to address inquiries. It provides an environment for all the women to get their problems solved.

All the report records can be accessed by the police staff. The user can easily log in and file a complaint of any of the above categories. Also, they can track their record using the unique identification number provided to them after filing complaint.

For enhancement of the safety of women in the country and to provide safer environment for women to take action when there's trouble as soon as possible we've came up with user-friendly website where you can report your complaint. With the growing technology and having a keen knowledge within our generation, it's time to be with the trend so why waste our time visiting physically and file a complaint. You can make complaint on any issue which includes crime, sexual assault, domestic violence, rape, trafficking, public harassment and regarding personal unsafety.

How we built it ?

We built it using CSS3 , TailwindCSS , NextJS , MongoDBAtlas , and use of Insomnia API.

Challenges we ran into !

We didn't have a backend server to store data we built it using MongoDB. We had some drawbacks like verification of data given by users so we decided to add a verification tool using Api which will verify the user data with their documents authorized by the government . Our team was made at the last moment it was tough to manage everything , plan , pitch the idea and implement it but my team did a great job I never thought we could make it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of !

We successfully built the backend server to store and fetch data of the complaints registered by users as well as we were unknown mates in the team which got formed up in the last moment we collaborated we got the idea and were up to this but this is not it our project aims for a higher and broader perspective . Hence we will keep on our enthusiasm and would do wonders soon.

What we learned

New technologies such as MongoDB , NextJS and react. Apart from this we learned great team work had lots of fun learning and building new things with different technologies.

What's next for HerSafetyBureau?

There is a lot to come to be frank We will be working more on the UI-UX part as well as for verification of data given by the users. We have a aim to implement this on a larger scale and to reach as much people as we can .
