Inspiration
As an all-women team, we talked about the lack of education given in high school about sex education and general women's health. There are so many health issues that could effect us that we didn't know and we feel that a carefully crafted platform would bring awareness.
What it does
Our platform allows users to make an account and answer some questions about personal health. Afterwards, we have a page allowing users to document their symptoms daily and while we didn't get to include this in our project, we would have it track reoccurring symptoms. We would also have a page that shows what the symptoms might be a sign of. We don't intend to give medical advice but rather make users aware of when to seek help.
How we built it
We used Figma.
Challenges we ran into
Not enough time Making sure people only use moderately Making sure people don't use this in replacement of doctors Being inclusive of all symptoms
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Communication amongst the team Finishing the Figma demo
What we learned
We learned that we could use technology to bring awareness to social and healthcare issues that we're passionate about.
What's next for Hers Health Hub
We want to finally implement a website using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. We would also love to make this an app for both Android and Apple users for a more accessible and interactive platform.
