Inspiration

The inspiration behind HerPath AI came from the reality that many girls and young women still face barriers to mentorship, confidence, and career exposure, especially in technology and leadership fields. I wanted to build something that not only teaches skills, but also encourages girls to believe in themselves and visualize bigger futures. The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 5 by using technology and education to empower women and promote gender equality.

How I used MeDo

I used MeDo to rapidly transform ideas into a fully functional MVP through conversational prompts and iterative design. Instead of spending time setting up everything manually, I described the features, UI, onboarding experience, dashboard structure, and AI workflows in natural language. MeDo helped me quickly prototype, refine, and deploy the application while allowing me to focus more on user experience, storytelling, and impact.

Most Impressive Parts MeDo Helped Generate

One of the most impressive parts MeDo helped generate was the overall UI/UX experience. It helped create a modern, emotionally engaging interface with smooth layouts, onboarding flows, learning dashboards, and AI mentor interactions. I was especially impressed by how quickly I could iterate on complex sections like the AI Career Discovery Quiz and the personalized dashboard simply by describing improvements conversationally.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges was balancing functionality, design quality, and emotional impact within a limited hackathon timeframe. I wanted HerPath AI to feel more than just another educational platform. It needed to feel supportive, empowering, and visually polished. Another challenge was refining the user experience to make the platform intuitive while still showcasing multiple AI-powered features in a clean way.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I’m proud that I was able to turn an important social issue into a meaningful AI-driven solution with a polished and modern experience. I’m also proud of how the project combines education, mentorship, confidence building, and career guidance into one platform. Most importantly, I’m proud that HerPath AI promotes a positive vision of technology being used to empower girls and create opportunities for the future.

What I learned

This project taught me the importance of designing technology with empathy and purpose. I learned that impactful products are not only about advanced features, but also about how users feel while using them. I also learned how powerful AI assisted development platforms like MeDo can be for rapid innovation, allowing creators to move from concept to working product much faster than traditional workflows.

What's next for HerPath AI

The next step for HerPath AI is expanding the platform into a supper intelligent and personalized ecosystem for girls and young women globally. Future plans include real AI powered mentorship, scholarship recommendations, localized career pathways, voice interaction, community mentorship features, and mobile accessibility for underserved communities. The long term vision is to make HerPath AI a platform that helps millions of girls gain confidence, skills, and opportunities to shape their futures.
