Hero Tales Voice

Inspiration

Every night, my daughter asks me to tell her a bedtime story. Over time, I noticed a pattern — many of her days included little mistakes or challenges, and she wanted to understand them. So I started creating custom superhero stories where the main character goes through something similar and learns from it.

That’s where the idea came from: a voice AI app that helps parents tell personalized stories to their children based on real-life situations. Whether the child was feeling sad, had a tough day at school, or even made a small mistake — the app turns that into a magical story with a positive message.

I also realized this could help many children — especially those with emotional challenges or disabilities — who may not respond well to direct instructions or corrections. With storytelling, we can teach gently, with imagination.

What it does

The app listens to a parent describing a situation in their voice (like “my son hit his brother today” or “my daughter forgot to do her homework”). Then, using voice AI and a story generator, it creates a custom bedtime story where the child learns the right behavior through fun and fantasy — as a superhero!

How we built it

• Voice AI to capture the parent's voice input
• Text processing to extract the core problem or theme
• AI story engine (using GPT-style logic) to generate a short, fun, personalized story
• Text-to-Speech to read the story out loud to the child

All of this was built using no-code tools on bolt.new, combining voice input, logic triggers, and content generation blocks.

Challenges

• Making sure the generated stories are positive, friendly, and age-appropriate
• Designing a simple user flow for non-technical parents
• Keeping stories short enough for bedtime, but still meaningful

What's next

I plan to build a story library for common situations, add Arabic language support, and allow parents to save their child’s favorite stories.

This project started from love and parenting — and I hope it can help other parents and kids grow with kindness and imagination.
