Inspiration

We wanted to find out that which country's music taste is closest to our own favourite tracks.

What it does

You can view that which country's top charts match best to your favourite songs. It analyses the features of countries' top tracks and your top tracks, and then compares the results.

How we built it

Bubblegum, Spotify's kickass API, React, AWS.

React app is is hosted on S3, and it has no backend at all as we wanted to keep things minimal

Challenges I ran into

Data science is hard. Building this kind of service with a tech that is not very familiar to us, in less than 12 hours, is a bit stressful.

We managed to get spoti.fyi domain for our project

What we learned

Spotify's API is pure awesomeness. Really.

What's next for Hermes

Maybe a complete rewrite, as the current codebase is ugly as hell.
