Inspiration

The rapid rise of deepfake technology and AI image manipulation has created a serious challenge for digital safety. Many women face harassment and identity misuse when their photos are manipulated and shared online.

Victims often struggle to prove that an image is fake or altered, which makes reporting abuse difficult.

We wanted to build a solution that gives users verifiable proof of authenticity and helps them defend their digital identity.

That idea led to HerJusticeLock — a platform that combines AI detection with blockchain verification to protect women from digital image misuse.

What it does

HerJusticeLock is an AI + blockchain powered platform that detects manipulated images and generates trusted digital evidence.

Users can:

Upload suspicious images for AI deepfake detection

Verify image authenticity using blockchain hash verification

Generate tamper-proof evidence reports

Prepare abuse reports for platforms or authorities

The system transforms image authenticity into verifiable digital proof.

The system workflow:

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was designing a reliable workflow for verifying image authenticity.

Deepfake detection alone is not always sufficient, so we needed a way to provide tamper-proof verification.

Another challenge was balancing privacy and transparency, especially when displaying community alerts and incident data.

We addressed these issues by combining AI detection with blockchain verification and keeping incident reporting anonymous.
