Inspiration
Inspired by the need to empower women entrepreneurs and make cultural items accessible to students.
What it does
HERitage allows students to borrow/rent cultural items while giving women vendors a platform to sell and showcase their products.
How we built it
Built with React + Vite for frontend, Supabase for database/auth/storage, and Figma for design-to-database integration.
Challenges we ran into
Overcame challenges connecting Figma designs to live database tables and handling authentication for multiple user types.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Proudly developed a functional prototype with live database integration and a smooth borrowing workflow.
What we learned
Learned how to connect UI designs to a backend, implement secure auth, and deploy a real web app quickly.
What's next for HERitage
Next steps: add real-time payments, email notifications, and expand vendor listings to scale the platform.
