The future of education will involve technology in multiple ways. By leveraging ZappAR, HereStory makes learning the history of places around you fun and interactive.

What it does

HereStory is an AR experience that uses ZapWorks Universal AR to display and animate 3D models relevant to historical sites.

How it works

Users first scan the QR code at the historical sites. To see this in action, you can scan the QR code below to see the set up I have for the historical site of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

The user should be able to see, interact with, and get details on the destroyer (sophisticated Military boat) similar to what is below:

Users can also play simple "Spot the plane" game:

With the deadline extension I leveraged Google Maps to make finding local historical sites a lot easier. below is a screenshot of the application showing the aforementioned locations on a map of Oahu, Hawaii. With this extension, QR codes are easier to find for a better historical experience.
