Herding Cats

Inspiration

I was inspired by the "Away from home" theme by thinking about how you have to make sure your pets can't do something stupid while you are gone.

What it does

The cats race for the door while the grandma tries to leave before they escape. The grandma can pickup and move the cats to prevent them from leaving.

How I built it

I built it using python and pygame in an object oriented style.

Challenges I ran into

I ran into issues as it has been around a year since I have utilized python and pygame.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This is my first time doing a hackathon and I came rather late, so I was impressed how much I could achieve with my limited knowledge.

What I learned

I learned how to build games for a hackathon, and how to make a project in a limited amount of time.

What's next for Herding Cats

Vases that the cats can knock over, food and water dishes to fill, dogs, and making sure specific animals stay separate to avoid issues while you are away.
