Inspiration

I was inspired to create the app Hercules because of my own simultaneous desire and apprehension to get into strength training. For one, I wanted to get stronger physically and mentally in a new way. However, I was intimidated by the classic 'gym-bro' stereotype, and didn't know how to start structuring routines. Hercules simplifies this and gameifies strength training, aiming to make the field as accessible and welcoming as possible.

Logo Design

The Hercules game is designed to be a turn-based RPG, so I knew I wanted a logo heavily pixelated to convey that impression. I also didn't want anything too busy, so I decided on a big, easily recognizable H in the middle. Additionally, the dumbbell effectively yet minimalistically communicates the niche of the app.
