Inspiration

Women’s healthcare is notoriously neglected and understudied. We wanted to create a website where women can support other women through feedback, reviews, and information on feminine products. You can also post threads to give advice/ ask for advice which makes women of all ages connect.

What it does

The main function of the website is to give ratings on feminine products and to give advice about personal health to those who cannot access this information.

How we built it

The frontend was built using React and Tailwind CSS, while the backend was developed with Node.js and Express.js, using SQLite as the database.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some challenges during the beginning as we were concerned about how to implement a website to support women. Then, we thought about how under researched women's health is and how hard it is to get access to reliable information. So we turned to using this forum styled website to support each other.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Implementing the SQLite database for storing product reviews and the UI.

What we learned

We learned about teamwork and keeping a great team morale through this project. Through much perseverance, we accepted that not everything is an easy fix.
